Community Involvement

Community involvement is the key component to the success of project’s like this. We have set up an interactive map and survey tool so you can tell us about your experience travelling in Monmouth County on heavy travel days. We know that there has been less congestion due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but think of prior travel says when there was either seasonal or event related travel that resulted in traffic congestion, like a beautiful summer weekend day or a crowd at a local festival. Please take a few minutes and walk through the questions and mark the map below with your observations so we can better understand what people who live in and visit Monmouth County are experiencing.

The purpose of this online meeting held on May 27, 2021 was for the public to learn about the “Monmouth Within Reach” Travel Demand Management (TDM) Study, which identified methods to reduce tourism and events congestion in the County. The study was conducted over the last year and more information can be found on the project website. Comments and questions are always welcomed via email – we’re still listening.
